Fredericton Kiwanis 100 Ways of Giving
As part of the 100th Anniversary of Kiwanis Celebrations the Fredericton Club has decided to be extra generous and give back to the community in 100 different ways!!
April - We stuffed 100 welcome packages for Kiwanis House/Stan Cassidy Centre and we donated $200 towards the cost of these bags.
May - The club donated more than 100 books for the Twitti Book Sale in support of the children in the first-ever Twitti School Grade 8 class in Lilayi, Zambia. The Club had its own Kiwanis table where we also promoted the 100th anniversary.
June – Personal Toiletries
We will be collecting toiletries to donate to local shelters, please contact if you would like to support us with a donation.
September – Time to Eat!
Soup, Peanut Butter and Kraft Dinner – It’s supper for a teenager!! And something that the food bank always needs! We will be donating 100 items to the foodbank. Remember that school just started so lunch snacks and juice boxes will be in high demand.
October – Keep in Touch
Residents staying at the Kiwanis House and at the Stan Cassidy Centre are isolated from their families. Let’s help them stay connected with 100 Stamped Greeting Cards they can use to send to their families and friends.
November - TBD
The “BIG GIVES”
Two times during the year we are going to make larger donations that have a bigger impact on our community.
The food bank will accept 100 bags of school supplies to distribute as they see fit amongst families in need that visit the food bank.
As part of our annual commitments we donate hats, mitts and scarves to the Salvation Army as part of the Kiwanis Int. program – Mitts and Scarves for Kids. This year we will donate 100 Hats, 100 Mitts and 100 Scarves.
