Oromocto Bagpiper Ken Bettle was the special speaker at a recent meeting of Kiwanis of Fredericton. Piper Bettle related how he had developed an affection for the bagpipes in his youth as a member of an Oromocto military family and then as Commanding Office of the Oromocto High School Cadet Corp. The bagpipes always played a significant role in all the military parades. Ken Bettle is excited to continue to take bagpipe playing lessons ,to perform as a  member of a bagpipe band, and to make music in the evening on his acreage along the Saint John River in the community of Burton.  Left to Right: Kiwanis Past President Sharon Sisco, Piper Ken Bettle, , Kiwanian Basil Lowery.
